The Bulgarian School of Politics organized a seminar on “Renewable Energy Sources and the Bulgarian Legislation. Will We be Able to Meet the EU Targets for Renawble Energy by 2020?” on 11th of October 2010. Lecturer of the seminar was Kenneth Levkowitz, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Bulgarian Wind Energy Association.
The event was organized under the project “Media in Bulgaria in Support of Policy Measures to Mitigate Climate Change” with the financial support of the Small Grants Programme of the Global Environment Fund.
At the conference were discussed the benefits and risks of introducing renewable energy sources in Bulgaria, the international plan concerning them, the achievability of the 20/20/20 goals and what should be done to reach them.
