Alumni discussed democracy’s deficits in Bulgaria

Focus group part of the project “Stimulating the Debate among the Alumni of the Bulgarian school of Politics” took place on the 30-th of March. Ten graduates were discussing key hypothesis from the questionnaire on the state of democracy in Bulgaria. It covered four spheres – Civic Participation, Political Parties, Media and Institutions and was tested by the participants in the National Program 2016.

The research is done through a methodology developed by a working group of the Bulgarian School of Politics and is based on the experience of the international organization IDEA. Based on the results three key areas will be identified as problematic for Bulgaria. They will be analyzed and recommendations for overcoming and reforms will be provided. 

The project is implemented by the Bulgarian School of Politics “Dimitry Panitza”, with the financial support of the America for Bulgaria Foundation.
