On the basis of sociological data and their own knowledge of the economic and political situation in Bulgaria and Europe, the participants in the National Program “Governing Skills” had to formulate priorities for political parties from different parts of the political spectrum. The learning task was a part of their work in small groups during the second day of the third course, which is currently held at Riu Hotel – Pravets. It was possible to cope with the exercise thanks to the lecture by the sociologist Boryana Dimitrova, which the participants heard before that. The Managing Partner of the Alpha Research Sociological Agency talked about the role of the political parties and the processes within them in overcoming democratic deficits, and then commented on how to deal with the learning task.

The day continued with a lecture on the prospects for the development of the Bulgarian economy. “What are the internal and external factors on which the economic growth of our country depends?” Answers to this question were received from Lachezar Bogdanov, an economist at Industrywatch.

Questions related to the challenges to the national security of Bulgaria, the participants in the current class of the Bulgarian School of Politics could ask during the third panel of the second school day. Guest speakers were the journalists Mohamed Halaf and Petar Karaboev, as well as the chairman of the Sofia Security Forum Yordan Bozhilov.
